Hello all,
Sometimes when developing applications using HTML Canvas on mobile, Android stock browser doesn’t load your canvas and doesn’t return any error.
If you’re drawing some images the problem can be found in the drawImage() having incorrect parameters.
Oh Jesus, we have to deal with IE again and now its mobile version.
There are 2 major causes for IE mobile and HTML5 standard audio not working.
First : the file
At the moment IE only supports mp3 for html5 audio
Check out w3schools
Second: “raise suspance…… drums…. AUDIO FILES HOSTED ON HTTPS FAILS!”
Error: Audio playblack was aborted
Exactly, IE10 Mobile at the moment could not play audio files (standard html or from javascript) via https!

Just put those files on an http (if you can) and rejoice.
Geez.
Sometimes it happens that

});instead of the click, and the job is done :3

Today i was developing a standard ajax form for a mobile web app and i noticed that the nasty on screen keyboard doesn’t close after pressing the “return” button and it still send the request.
So the deal is “how to close the ipad (or whatsoever) keyboard after pressing the device button” while knowing that web pages could rarely affect the device behavior?
In order to play a sound assets with Javascript you just need these snippet:

Today I encountered a strange issue, after opening the on screen keyboard, filling a form and sending it with the keyboard (via javascript which involves no page reloads), the body kept the size of the page plus the size of the keyboard, totally unexpected.

Since I released today my very first jQuery plugin. I thought it would be nice to commemorate it on the blog 😛
Zoomsaic (oh god, i’m not good at naming things) is a lightweight library to create some fancy effects that i had to create for a project and, since it turned out to be nice, I decided to share it.
I actually made a demo shows a plain version of the plugin, you could do a lot, lot more which a bit of creativity, you could create really some great galleries.

Hello all, it’s been a while, projects and vacations were imminent so I’ve got few time for writing any article.
Anyway today we’ll speak about something simple but useful, suppose we’re dealing with JS animations but we already know that IE older versions could have trouble and we want to resolve this catching the browser version and putting different code for IE.
Many would probably do a common conditional like this:

<![endif]-->which is probably the best solution overall. However since we are dealing with a JS animation we’ll probably prefer to address to the fix directly in the animation function code, so how to detect IE version directly in JS?
This is a little tweak I felt like sharing.
mobileAutoZoom auto-set the “initial-zoom” in the “viewport” meta as much as it’s necessary to display your template.
It replaces the meta “viewport” according to the window.innerWidth / layout_width division The result is the optimal zoom level.
Today is a nasty day, the day when we discovered that our beloved $(selector).scrollTop(), a child method of $(selector).animate(), is not working properly on mobile devices.
On mobiles the javascript call simply blink on the top of the page, making our boss disappointed.
To tell you the truth it’s not your fault and this is why…
