Today I encountered a strange issue, after opening the on screen keyboard, filling a form and sending it with the keyboard (via javascript which involves no page reloads), the body kept the size of the page plus the size of the keyboard, totally unexpected.

Since I released today my very first jQuery plugin. I thought it would be nice to commemorate it on the blog 😛
Zoomsaic (oh god, i’m not good at naming things) is a lightweight library to create some fancy effects that i had to create for a project and, since it turned out to be nice, I decided to share it.
I actually made a demo shows a plain version of the plugin, you could do a lot, lot more which a bit of creativity, you could create really some great galleries.

Today we’ll discussing about a pain in the ass we, web developers, are often assigned to: newsletters email development.
Nothing on the web will be a pain forever, and how we’ve seen beautiful scripts like html5shiv.js and respond.js come to life to achieve retro-compatibility. Today I’ve got some tweaks that will achieve a almost perfect background-fix for emails (since background handling is one of the hardest topics on email design and the solution is really handy).
Here we are, today we’re not talking about coding but some useful general knowledge since I found this awesome software, Genymotion, which does the same thing we expect Virtual Box or Eclypse could do, but in an easier and quicker way, expecially since it let us get all the device images directly from his cloud system.
The tutorial will be focused on windows, since people familiar with linux could easily emulate Android there.
In order to make Genymotion run, we need a bit of time (about 1 hour), some free space (about 1gb) and some patience. The process is easy but time consuming so prepare yourself.

Hello all, it’s been a while, projects and vacations were imminent so I’ve got few time for writing any article.
Anyway today we’ll speak about something simple but useful, suppose we’re dealing with JS animations but we already know that IE older versions could have trouble and we want to resolve this catching the browser version and putting different code for IE.
Many would probably do a common conditional like this:

<![endif]-->which is probably the best solution overall. However since we are dealing with a JS animation we’ll probably prefer to address to the fix directly in the animation function code, so how to detect IE version directly in JS?

At the moment I am working at a responsive optimized project, the client suggested a parallax effect background, still I saw really few good parallax responsive sites out there in spite of the number of parallax frameworks under developement and I need my site to be as quick as possible. I checked for my first time the code of this famous plugin and I discovered that the main layer-delayed background effect is a piece of cake.
Making it with custom and lite is no big deal, I’ll now explain what many already know but adding my code to realize a simple and quick parallax basic-feature clone!

I’ve been discovering a lot of CSS tricks in the past weeks and I decided to make a little landing page about that. I don’t think they could be handy for everyday works but they still looks interesting and canvas-less (obviously with a canvas the job would be a lot easier). I feel like experimenting a bit is no damage on the web. 🙂

This is quite an issue every linux user with a bit of experience would laugh at me, but hey, even wasting 10 minute it’s not a nice thing so here is the problem:
My virtualhost on port 80 works fine but when I try to create another one on a different port apache doesn’t show the pages and if I would be so clever to check logs I would find this error: “No virtualhost on that port”
